Rural North Dakota Station Returns to Farm-Based Classic Country

Posted on May 6, 2022 by Jon Ellis

A radio station in rural northeastern North Dakota has dropped much of the syndicated talk from its format and returned to its Country roots.

Simmons Multimedia’s KNDK/1080 (Langdon) and FM translator K254DC/98.7 (Langdon) are now positioned as “Farm ‘N Country” with Classic Country from the 1950s to the early 2000s at various times during the day and continuously from 4 p.m. to midnight. The format includes hourly local news updates.

Several ag-focused syndicated shows remain on the new lineup, including AgriTalk at 10 and 3 and Farm Talk with Mitch Kjar at 2. KNDK also continues to carry some syndicated shows in the overnight and morning, including Coast to Coast, First Light, America’s First News with Gordon Deal, and the DJV Show.

The station’s previous syndicated lineup had also included Joel Heitkamp, Dave Ramsey, and Mark Levin.
