Temporary Simulcast after Mora Management Change

Posted on November 2, 2020 by Jon Ellis

KBEK/95.5 (Mora, MN) has ended its previous format and is temporarily simulcasting another station following a change in management.

Q Media Properties is in the process of buying the station and took over day-to-day operations under a local sales and marketing agreement this month. The deal has not yet been filed with the FCC.

On Monday, Nov. 2, KBEK ended its previous broad Adult Alternative/Classic Hits format and began simulcasting the Classic Hits format of new sister station “Highway 106-5” (W293DA/106.5 and WCMP/1350 Pine City).

The station says it hopes to debut KBEK’s new format very soon.

Q Media has said it plans to continue local news and sports on KBEK. On Monday night, the station broadcast a Mora Mustangs volleyball game.
