Update: DABL Adds Several Upper Midwest Affiliates

Posted on August 22, 2019 by Jon Ellis

New lifestyle network DABL, which launches Sept. 9, has posted an affiliate list that includes several Upper Midwest markets.

It had already been announced that WCCO-TV (Minneapolis) would carry DABL; both the station and the network are owned by CBS. The network’s new affiliate list specifies that it will be carried on channel 4.3. (WCCO satellite KCCW Walker is not listed, but could presumably carry the network on 12.3.)

As of Monday, Aug. 19,, the affiliate list had shown Quincy Media’s KDLH (Duluth) as carrying DABL on channel 3.3, but the listing had been removed by Thursday and no other Duluth station is on the list.

Meanwhile, other affiliates added to the list since Monday include:

  • Green Bay: Sinclair’s WCWF/14.5
  • La Crosse: Morgan Murphy Media’s WKBT/8.4
  • Madison: Morgan Murphy Media’s WISC/3.3
  • Marquette: Lilly Broadcasting’s WZMQ/19.3, though there has been conflicting information from other sources about the channel numbers for networks carried on this station
  • Omaha: Sinclair’s KPTM/42.2, which currently carries ThisTV and the My Network TV prime time lineup
  • Sioux City: Sinclair’s KPTH/44.2, which also carries ThisTV and My Network TV

(These listings should perhaps be taken with a grain of salt: Besides the now-deleted KDLH listing, the list shows La Crosse as being in Michigan and Marquette as being in Wisconsin, so one has to wonder if there are any other errors.)

DABL’s schedule will be anchored by programming from Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse.
